Texas Senator to introduce Scooter Measure
State Senator Royce West, Democrat, citing public safety concerns, has written a bill to restrict rental scooter use. The bill would bar standup scooter use by more than one person at a time, be at least 16 years old, limit speed to 15 mph and use only on roadways under 35 mph limit. Sidewalk use would be banned, and parking restricted.
